Tommy Rutledge

Minister of Senior Adults
& First Impressions

Growing up here at First Baptist Snellville and influenced by family and friends who were faithful to teach him about Jesus, Tommy accepted Christ as Savior of his life at the age of eight. He has been actively involved in the ministries here all his life. Tommy graduated from Mercer University in 1985 with a BBA Degree in Marketing. While involved in the College & Career ministry here, he met his wife, Tricia, and they were married in 1988.  They have one son, Jeremy. First Baptist has always been home for Tommy and his family.

Tommy accepted God’s call into the ministry in 1990 and served here as an Associate in the Music Ministry for five years. He continued to serve as Church Pianist while managing his family business for the next thirteen years. Then from 2009 until the present he has served full time here as Associate Minister of Music, Pianist and now as Minister to Senior Adults and First Impressions, overseeing the Usher, Greeter, Decision Counselor and Prayer Ministries too.

Tommy enjoys spending time with his family, playing the piano, music and fun and games with friends.  He has a strong passion for Senior Adults and seeks to inspire joy and continued spiritual growth in their lives serving Christ.

BACK TO OUR LEADERSHIP

But we urge you, brothers, to do this more and more, and to aspire to live quietly, and to
Mind your own affairs, and to work with your hands, as we instructed you, so that you may
walk properly before outsiders and be dependent on no one.
